Location
The residence stands in Arnados, one of the oldest villages on Tinos, celebrated for its iconic whitewashed houses, cobblestone alleys, medieval archways and flower-filled courtyards, all of which encapsulate the simplicity and charm of Greek island life. The village’s amphitheatrical hillside setting affords breathtaking views across the shimmering blue sea as far as Mykonos and other islands of the southern Cyclades. Conveniently located 8 km from the main town and port of Chora, the house is also just a 7-10 km drive from a choice of beaches – sandy and pebbled, developed and undeveloped. It is also an ideal base for exploring the rest of the island, including several picturesque villages within easy walking distance. When not relaxing at one of the traditional coffee shops or tavernas in Arnados, guests can visit the imposing 17th century church in the main square.
Description
The house provides various accommodation options across 177 m2 of interior space. It was recently renovated throughout with the utmost respect for its original architecture and special features, plus the addition of carefully selected amenities to offer guests a comfortable living experience where tradition meets modernity.
The main house is laid out on two levels. On the upper floor (85.5 m2) there is an inviting, open-plan living room, dining space and fully equipped kitchen, the master bedroom with double bed (1.6 x 2 m), air-conditioning and stunning views, as well as an attractive bathroom with walk-in shower and WC. This level opens onto a spacious terrace (32 m2) with two sitting areas where guests can relax or dine while taking in the amazing panoramic views.
Outdoor steps lead down to the lower level, which is also accessed from the main entrance to the house on the narrow, pedestrian-only alleyway. Here, there is one small bedroom (17.5 m2) with semi-double bed (1.4 x 2 m), ensuite shower/WC, and direct access to a delightful outdoor sitting area.
Outside and directly opposite the entrance of the main house is the guest house (74 m2) with two more accommodation options. The first features an open-plan bedroom with double bed (1.6 x 2 m) and bathroom (shower and WC). A connecting door leads to a second bedroom with two single beds joined together (total bed size 1.8 x 2 m), again with shower and WC, plus private access from the street. These two bedrooms share a kitchenette and a small sitting area.
There are two rental options: either the main house alone (sleeps 3), or together with the guest house (additional 4 guests).
